Arabia Mountain High School Family,

Here at Arabia we are raising academically motivated students. Parents please speak with your children about doing their very best each and every day. Students need to make sure that they are dressed in full uniform, electronic devices are put away, and that they are making positive decisions throughout the school day. Congratulations to our very own Arantza Pena Popo for winning the Doodle for Google art contest. Way to go Rams!! Students will begin wearing their school blazers on Monday August 26th. Students who do not have their blazers may wear the Arabia Mountain vest or sweater with an oxford shirt and a tie. Our first Parent Teacher Conference Night will be held on September 19th from 4:00 until 6:00. Parent sign up will begin on August 21st and will continue through September 18th. The PSAT will be administered on October 16th to all 10th grade students. Any 9th and 11th grade students who are interested in taking the test will need to pay $15.00 cash or money order to Ms. Ham in the counseling office. The deadline for payment is September 20th. If you have any questions be sure to contact us at 678-875-3602 or visit our website. Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

The Arabia Mountain High School Faculty and Staff

Congratulations, Chandler!
Our very own, Chandler Martin, a senior here at Arabia Mountain High School, was recently recognized in the AJC as one of the TOP linebackers for Region AAAAA and selected to the pre-season All State Team.  This recognition comes after an active summer of football visits and football camps at schools like University of Miami, University of South Alabama, Wake Forest, Mercer, and University of Memphis to name a few.

Martin brings a unique skill set to the field. At the Atlanta Nike Regional Combine in the Spring, Martin had the top score.   He ran a laser time of 4.64, posted a 38.4 inch vertical jump on the way to a 122.97 football rating, only to improve the vertical jump to 41” the next day at the Nike Regional Opening.

Chandler has a 3.5 GPA and is set to graduate in December 2019.  He is looking forward to an exciting season with his teammates and coaches this fall.

AMHS's Niana Battle Attends the 2019 ACLU Summer Advocacy Program in late July
As the website (https://www.aclu.org/summer-advocacy-program) details, "Through an intensive program in Washington D.C., students will learn directly from lawyers, lobbyists, community activists, and other experts working to defend the civil rights and civil liberties critical to a free and open society. In classroom sessions, lectures, and policy debates, students will explore the complex nature of issue advocacy, legal strategy, and real world political decision making in Washington, D.C. The program will culminate in meetings with elected officials and/or congressional staff on Capitol Hill, and an issue rally to bring attention to a cause selected by the 2019 cohort." Hats off to Niana Battle for this amazing accomplishment!
