Our AMHS Gymnastics team has done it again!! On Tuesday evening, the girls beat out Cedar Grove, Lithonia, Redan, Stephenson, Southwest Dekalb AND Tucker! Congratulations Arabia Debaters! Our first-ever teams to compete in nationals in Washington DC were Trisha Warren, Ahmad Parker, Taylor Jones, and John Radford. While we didn't make it to the elimination rounds, each team went 2-4 against the toughest debaters from around the nation. Also, all debaters, there is a mandatory meeting after school Wednesday, April 17 to plan our annual banquet and discuss next year's topic. [ for more]

Attention All Gear Up Students! Apply now to attend the 2019 Leadership Summer Academy! This is a 6-day leadership training program where students will develop leadership skills, learn more about college access and success, and meet other GEAR UP Georgia students from neighboring DeKalb County schools. Congratulations to Miracle Goolsby who came in 2nd place out of 24 girls, and Torrance Allen who came in 5th place out of 56 boys at the Dekalb County Golf Championship yesterday. [ for more]

Congrats to both the girls and boys tennis team for advancing to the 1st round of the state playoffs.
Yesterday at the Region 5-5A Tennis Tournament, the boys placed 3rd in the region, and the girls placed 2nd bringing home the region runner up trophy for the 3rd consecutive year.  They'll be in action next week against teams from Region 8.
