Arabia Mountain HS Boys Basketball 2020-21 Information

Player/Parent Interest/Contact Form: https://forms.gle/8YVshqPi1iw3oAJm8

Updated DeKalb Winter Sports Calendar:

***All Athletes must have an up-to-date physical uploaded on the DragonFly Max app (www.dragonflymax.com) in order to tryout/condition or do any activity at the school.***
Player and/or a parent need to download the "Dragonfly Max" app to your phone or computer. Once you have done that you will follow the following steps.
  1. Create an account and join Arabia Mountain High School, school code is P3MBMB
  2. Choose the team JV/Varsity Boys Basketball and complete the required forms 9 total.
  3. Upload the physical form, including the DOCTOR SIGNED AND DATED page.
  4. Be sure that the bar found at the top of your profile is at 100% complete and that all of the required fields are green (showing that they are completed correctly).
  5. This process does take some time, so be sure to be patient and work your way through all of it.

Important Notes about DragonFly:
Once the documents are uploaded, especially the insurance card and physical page with doctor clearance, they must be approved. Please make sure to go back and check the profile to see if the documents have been approved.  If they are rejected, there will be comments to re-submit with the corrections.

The common upload errors:
1. Upload both the front and back of the insurance card.
2. Upload the physical page with the doctor's signature and date of physical, as well as clearance box is checked.

Covid-19 Safety Protocols

1. Screening and Check-In (All athletes must arrive with a mask on for check-in)

Athletes are to have their temperature checked daily and recorded as they report to practice/conditioning.

Screening questions:

     1. Have you had any fever, cold, or flu-like symptoms in the 72 hours?

     2. Has anybody in your home tested positive for Covid in the past 2 weeks?

     3. Is anybody at home currently under quarantine for Covid?

     4. Have you traveled to a "hotspot" for Covid-19?
If an athlete answers "yes" to any of those questions the athlete cannot participate and must go home, the reason why the athlete is sent home is documented.

***Any fever over 100, the athlete is sent home and must self-quarantine 14 days.***

2. Masks

Coaches and athletes are to wear masks inside the building at all times.

Currently, the exception is masks can be removed while on the court/field in play.

Masks must stay on in the weight room.

Also, in any activity that is not active on the court in play, athletes must social distance and be spread apart.

3. Exposure/Questions

Any athlete or parent contacts you regarding a positive Covid test or questions whether or not they should come to practice due to possible exposure, notify Coach Brown or Coach Bolden. If we conclude that others on the team have been exposed to a positive athlete, you will likely be advised to shut down for 2 weeks and all parents will be notified of the possible exposure.

4. Cleaning and Sanitizing Equipment

Clean and sanitize equipment after each use, and provide plenty of hand sanitizer. I recommend having each athlete bring a bottle of hand sanitizer and wipes so you can have plenty to stock up. We are accepting donations of cleaning or sanitary

5. Water Bottles

Athletes need to bring their own water bottles. We can provide water coolers to refill their bottles

6. Physicals and Covid/Participation Waivers

Dragonfly-All GHSA required forms are in Dragonfly to be signed including the Covid-19 Waiver.
