On September 19, 2024, students from Arabia Mountain High School had an exhilarating experience at the Cyber STEMfest in Augusta, GA. This engaging event brought together young minds eager to explore the world of technology and cybersecurity.

One of the highlights was the Escape the Flag Event, a mini ethical hackathon that challenged students to think critically and creatively as they navigated through cybersecurity puzzles. This hands-on experience not only honed their problem-solving skills but also introduced them to the principles of ethical hacking.

In addition to the hackathon, students participated in a Technology Escape the Room activity that tested their teamwork and ingenuity. They collaborated to solve complex clues and unlock the mysteries of the room, fostering both communication and collaborative skills.

A thrilling highlight was the tower-building challenge, where students constructed impressive towers reaching up to 19 feet tall. This activity encouraged engineering principles and creativity, showcasing the students' ability to think outside the box.

To round off the day, AMHS students engaged in a networking scavenger hunt that connected them with various cybersecurity businesses. This provided invaluable opportunities to learn about career paths in the tech industry and interact with professionals who shared insights into their work.

Overall, the Cyber STEMfest was an inspiring experience for AMHS students, igniting their passion for technology and cybersecurity while building essential skills for their future careers.
