AMHS Wrestling Team
Let's Get Ready to Rumble. Congratulations to the lady wrestling Rams. Alana Scott won first place, Janyla Gunnerson won second place, and Aniya Warfield and Charity Floyd won 5th place in their weight classes- at the Alexander High All-Girls Wrestling Tournament this past weekend. Special thanks also goes to our team captain Nya Floyd. Congrats to the JV wrestling team for competing hard at the Rockdale Duals. The last hydration test for wrestling will be this Thursday leaving the school at 520. See Mr. Jones for More information. Go RAMS 
Wrestling
If you are interested in joining the 2019-2020 Wrestling Team, you have until Thursday, November 14th. You need to speak with Coach M. Jones to get all of the required paperwork. No experience needed. Boys and girls are welcome. There is a mandatory hydration test on Thursday, November 14th at 5:00pm. The cost is $10. Please speak with Coach M. Jones in Room E-208 for more information. 
4-H Club
The AMHS 4-H Club is hosting a food drive until the end of November. Drop off canned goods, dry goods, and non perishable items in Room E205. Thank you for your generosity and Go Rams! 
TSA
All students attending the Green Build Field trip on November 21, 2019 at the Georgia World Congress Center must bring their forms and money in by no later than Monday 11/11/19. Please see or email Mrs. Mason, or any Engineering Teacher for more information. 
WSB-TV & Atlanta Hawks
Join Mr. Hurst & FBLA on November 21, 2019 as they tour WSB-TV. Meet on-air news anchors and radio personalities as we tour the studios. Money and permission slips are due by November 15, 2019. Cost is $15. 
 
Join Mr. Hurst & FBLA as we attend Hawks Night on Dec. 13. We will attend a sports marketing presentation from 1-4 pm and then attend the Hawks game as they defeat the Indiana Pacers. The cost is $100 and money and permission slips are due by November 29, 2019.

Please support FBLA's "Warm for the Winter" Coat Drive. Students are eligible to receive community service hours for every coat they bring. New or gently used coats ONLY. Please see Shanissee Lee or Raina Wynn or Mr. Hurst for more information. To receive credit, coats must be turned in by November 21, 2019.

Also, HOSA-Future Health Professionals is proud to sponsor Health Professions Week (HPW). Health Professions Week is an exciting week-long event for high school and college students interested in learning more about careers in the health profession. In honor of Health Professions Week, the Arabia Mountain HOSA chapter will be giving free physical exams during all lunch periods. So stop by the table in the cafeteria and get an update on your health!
 
AMHS Jewels and Emeralds
Do you want to learn how to dance? Do you want to know what it takes to be a Jewel? How about when applications can be picked up or tryouts will be held? Do you want to learn how to twirl a flag? Do you want to know what it takes to be an Emerald? Do you want more information about tryouts? Well, come out to our Fall Dance and twirl clinic on November 16th through 17th here at AMHS. Pick up registration packets for our two day clinic from Mrs. Murchison in room C131. Hope to see you there! 
Arabia Mountain Soccer
Soccer season is quickly approaching. If you are interested in trying out for the Arabia Mountain soccer team, you will need to upload the following to DragonFlyMax.com: An updated physical form A concussion awareness form Participation consent form A sudden cardiac arrest form And a Medical card form All forms must be submitted before Thanksgiving break. Extra forms can be found in Coach Baynes’ room in C114. Conditioning starts after Thanksgiving break, if all of your forms are NOT submitted by then you will NOT be allowed to attend conditioning or attend tryouts. If you have any questions or need to pick up any forms see Coach Baynes in room C114. 
E.A.R.T.H. Club
The E.A.R.T.H. Club EIC recycling competition will end on Nov.14th. Recyclables include things like aluminum cans, plastic water bottles, notebook paper, magazines, etc! Be sure to minimize waste and use those recycling bins! E.A.R.T.H. Club is working on getting all EIC classrooms a recycling bin. The EIC class that recycles the most will receive an Ice Cream Party! Happy Recycling! 
Skills USA
Skills USA members, we will be holding a meeting every Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30 in room A204. See you there!!
